Lienz, Austria is a scenic town nestled in the Eastern Alps. In the fall of 2022 we had the opportunity to drive from this town through the Italian Dolomites mountain range to picturesque town of Kastleruth, South Tyrol.
The drive time is a little over 2 hours but covering that 133km distance in the evening on a road I never drove before, took us a bit more.
The final stretch of this route gets off the highway to the winding mountain roads of South Tyrol and driving that at night was quiet and adventure!
