Bregenz is a city by lake Constance in Germany bordering Austria. The city lies on the east and southeast shores of Lake Constance, the second-largest freshwater lake in the Alps, between Switzerland and Germany. It is famous for the annual summer music festival Bregenzer Festspiele, as well as the dance festival Bregenzer Spring.

In addition to Lake Constance activities and music festivals, Bregenz also offers some historic attractions. Notable among these are as follows.
Martinsturm (Martin’s Tower) that was originally built by the Romans and has a chapel with frescoes dating from 1362, Gothic parish church of St Gall (foundation dates back to 1380), Former Kornhausmarkt (now a theater) and the Bregenz Town Hall that dates back to 1660s.
