Sedona to Grand Canyon Village – Road Trip

Sedona is a city in central Arizona at the foothill of the Rocky Mountain Range. Sedona’s main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. A popular place to see the sunset affect on the rock formations is Airport Mesa, as seen in the photo gallery below.

The 114 miles trip from Sedona to Grand Canyon Village takes approximately 2 hours via a scenic route that passes through Slide Rock State Park, Oak Creek Vista and the cities of Flagstaff and Williams.
