Carnival Panorama – A Cruise from Long Beach, California

Carnival Panorama is a Vista-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. When delivered in 2019 by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, it was the flagship of the Carnival Fleet until eclipsed by the Mardi Gras in 2021. Since her debut she has been homeported at the Port of Long Beach and sails week-long itineraries to the Mexican Riviera.

The ship’s home port of Long Beach, California is a scenic beach city by the Pacific ocean in Southern California. The Port is also host to the historic RMS Queen Mary , a retired British ocean liner that sailed primarily on the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard Line. The City of Long Beach bought the ship to serve as a tourist attraction featuring restaurants, a museum and a hotel.

Below are some pictures of the port of Long Beach and the ship departing for a week-long cruise.

The cabins and interior facility are spacious and well organized when compared to other Carnival ships. The standard restaurants offerings are all available including Guy’s burger joint and Blue Iguana Cantina.

The vessel’s public facilities are similar to and evolved from those offered on Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon. One distinct feature is a Sky Zone trampoline park in place of the IMAX theater found on her older sister ships. The ship also has activity venues including a Waterworks aqua park inspired by Shaquille O’Neal. The cycling ring above deck 12 is a unique experience over open waters. However, due to high wind gust, this offering may be closed certain days when the ship is on sea.
