The city is also well connected by long distance trains and highways to other parts of Spain and Portugal as well as France. The city center of Madrid showcases historic architectures dating back to 16th century and beyond. The historic center, known as ‘Plaza Mayor’, is a must stop on your visit. There are also accommodations around the plaza for overnight stay. This location is also starting point for many Hop-on-hop-off Bus tours around Madrid or major public transports.
The Hop-on-hop-off tours are a convenient way to travel around the city. You can get off at a point of attraction and get back on another bus on the same route at a later time.
