The Port of Long Beach, California

Long Beach is a coastal city in southeastern Los Angeles County, California, United States. The city is about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles with a downtown and port overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  The Port of Long Beach is the second busiest container port in the United States and is among the world’s largest shipping ports.

The city is known for its waterfront attractions, including the permanently docked RMS Queen Mary and the Aquarium of the Pacific. The proximity to a major airport like LAX and facilities to accommodate large ships makes Long Beach an ideal choice for cruise ships.

The cruise port of Long Beach is a permanent base for Carnival Cruise ships embarking on Pacific Cruise. Typical voyages involve a 1-week cruise from Long Beach visiting locations in the ‘Mexican Riviera’ such as Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Ensenada and other popular tourist destinations.
